CULTURAL PROGRAMS

Theater

• Children’s group - After school drama classes open to all students 7-18.  A variety of classes enhance Greek speaking skills, and help individuals develop self-awareness and relation to others and their environment.  Activities involve theatrical games, role playing, and production of plays at the end of the yearly sessions.
• Adult group - An ensemble of individuals who are interested in theater produce and perform plays by well known Greek playwrights.

Choir

The program is designed for children and adults (together or in separate groups) to master the singing of Greek songs of a wide range of styles.  Choirs perform at Academy's events and functions.

Dance

• Quality Greek dance programs for children and adults
• Development of Academy's Greek Demotic Dancing troupe
• Modern and ballet dance classes instructed by professional dancers

Music

• A variety of instrument learning classes for children and
adults taught by professional musicians
• Development of Academy's bandArt
• Art classes (design, photography, drawing, painting, and
sculpting) for children and adults
• Exhibitions of works of Greek-American Artists

Performances

Artistic performances in music, theater, and dance by Academy's artistic groups and established Greek-American performers.

Lectures

By professionals and academics on a wide variety of topics.

Workshops

Business, professional, and artistic workshops given by qualified
individuals on a variety of themes.
